Standing on air

  • Dec. 17th, 2009 at 1:20 AM
I wrote stuff for an entire month and then took a break. Today I decided to work a bit on the art side of it for now.

Here's a silhouette drawing of one of the primary characters. The reason I start with the silhouette is because I don't want the characters to end up looking like each other. I aimed for distinction.

Run Melos!

  • Dec. 16th, 2009 at 3:04 PM

The director of Mouryou no Hako has directed two episodes of Aoi Bungaku and it is very reminiscent of MnY as it takes place in the same time period. It's an emotional roller coaster, has top quality animation and is just beautiful!!

"Is it painful to be the person who waits? Or is it more painful to be the person who makes others wait?"

Hashire Melos was written by Osamu Dazai. The two episodes present the story with some artistic liberty. In this adaption it takes place in 1950 starring a playwright and his struggle with a past friendship as he attempts to write the play to Hashire Melos.

Episode 9
Episode 10

Highly recommended! :)

Nothing to see here

My ankle's getting better, but I still keep it bandaged and take it easy. It doesn't hurt any more and I can finally walk straight, though it does feel a bit funny. I suppose I won't feel anything in a week or two.

Last week before winter holidays. \o/

Also, I hate winter depression. :| It's the time where I want to dig myself a hole and having myself not be heard or seen for a dozen of weeks.

Anime/Manga rambling behind the cut.... nothing important. )

Coping with my ankles

  • Dec. 6th, 2009 at 10:18 PM
Those reading my twitter probably noticed I've been having problems with my ankles for quite some time. Here's a status update for LJ. My right ankle got sprained less than a month ago. Later on I got my left ankle sprained, then it worsened. Probably has to do with wearing my boots, although I never had any problems before that.

The first time it hadn't been that painful, and I got sick afterwards so I had to stay put anyway. This time around it's frustrating... stayed at home for about a week. Going up and downstairs is a chore. Walking fast is impossible. I tried going to school on Friday, but it was very difficult to walk properly and not feel pain. Probably looked really silly that day.

I think I've recovered now, but I don't think it will be healed any time soon... Still in bandages. The other ankle hasn't completely healed either. Blah, this is the first time I've ever sprained anything... why must it happen twice in such a short time period?

ps. Still have 4 invites for Archive of Our Own.

Man SL is pissy slow today. Gotta go to a funeral tomorrow too. Having munchies coz allergies are acting up. There's food after but knowing the last time I was at one of those at sis's and grandparent's church the food was blech. So skepticism up and hope down.
